ABOUT

MACRo, the Martian Autonomous Core Sampling Rover is a project undertaken by Team Abhiyaan in collaboration with IIT Madras' ExTeM( ExtraTerrestrial manufacturing ). It is Abhiyaan's full-scale rover platform built to perform high-intensity core sampling. With its innovative structural and mechanical design, MACRo aims to achieve what no rover has.
Our main goal is to build a rover platform that helps to perform drilling upto 1 feet at Olympus Mons, the tallest mountain in the solar system and evalute the core samples from the rock to know more about the possibility of life and water.
